Project progress¶
Scope: the implemented Go utilities, port compatibility, verification and delivery. This is the project's progress record. Check an item only after its stated acceptance criteria pass. Existing IDs and dated evidence retain their original scope; later work does not turn a historical checkpoint into fresh acceptance.
Usage belongs in the utility guides. Feature comparison maps TypeScript capabilities and verification boundaries; ROADMAP.md records remaining priorities. Ordinary wording/link repairs do not need progress entries. Feature audits, implementation and newly verified acceptance do.
Documentation and feature audit¶
-

Browser review remains separate under DOC-06. -
DOC-12: Audit the seventeen pinned TypeScript utility guides against Go APIs and reference evidence; give every corresponding Go guide a complete example, input/output explanation, object lifecycle and feature map. Correct stale completed-versus-open claims. Preserve explicit OTel/native and unsupported data-key-cache boundaries. Guide/source coverage for eighteen Go guides, navigation and clean strict build passed (2026-10-01). Evidence: DOCUMENTATION_ACCEPTANCE.json.
- DOC-13: Execute the maintained packaged-module/reference and local Docker acceptance scope for the audited implementation; record reused phases and both build architectures. Verify documentation examples and documented response/output shapes. Verified 31 modules/28 consumers across resumed phases, 19 compiled programs/18 executed local programs or direct handlers, both Linux builds, 868/868 RIE, 95/95 streaming and 14/14 saved Batch checks (2026-10-01). No exhaustive parity, arm64 execution or new AWS run is claimed. Evidence: DOCUMENTATION_ACCEPTANCE.json.
Foundation¶
- F-01: Create a separate project directory and initialize Git on main.
- F-02: Establish a Go module with pinned dependencies and typed Lambda handlers.
- F-03: Record English documentation/comment policy and always-disabled CGO in AGENTS.md.
- F-04: Share invocation identity and prefer runtime context trace headers over process state.
- F-05: Document the OTel default and optional X-Ray backend decision.
- F-06: Set Go 1.27 in all 31 module/workspace baselines and generated consumer fixtures; use JSON v2 APIs in maintained serializers and jsontext for ordered token traversal. Verify strict duplicate/Unicode handling, exact typed field names, nil collections, streaming marshalers, Logger error atomicity/number precision and the CloudWatch optional-resolution field. Local acceptance (2026-10-07): 31-module tidy; 28 native packaged modules and 27 standalone consumers with GOWORK=off, tests/vet/isolation; both static Linux Lambda architectures and executable ZIPs; workflow lint and documentation checks. Kafka ordering received an additional scoped source check after its final traversal cleanup. Full Linux KMS/runtime/service and pinned release-CLI acceptance is tracked by Issue #110. CGO remained disabled.
Commons and Metadata¶
-
AUDIT-COMMONS-180-LOCAL: Complete the finite Commons matrix with 71 actual TypeScript v2.35.0 observations, 24 SDK numeric cases, native snapshot/LRU checks and Metadata strict-body recovery/endpoint/cancellation/closure tests. Reproduce and fix NaN numeric-set deduplication and native numeric BOOL zero/NaN conversion. Four packaged modules and four independent consumers pass with CGO disabled/GOWORK off; scoped JSON v2, licenses and documentation/discovery checks pass. Preserve explicit strict-container, JSON, SDK, ownership and redirect differences; broad C-09/C-10, resource #200 and cloud #201/#202 gates remain separate (2026-10-13).
-
C-01: Map reference exports and inspect actual Logger/Metrics/Parameters reuse. Record Go equivalents and differences in COMMONS.md and COMMONS_REUSE.md.
- C-02: Implement shared configuration/runtime, Base64, type helpers, indexed deep merge, LRU, decoded-value snapshots, and raw/native DynamoDB conversion with large integer preservation.
- C-03: Migrate compatible Logger, Metrics, Tracer, Parameters, and invocation helpers. Preserve utility-specific cache, fallback, lifecycle, and serialization policies.
- C-04: Implement opt-in SDK identity/version middleware; verify composed clients emit exactly one marker without changing AWS_SDK_UA_APP_ID.
- C-05: Implement the independent Metadata client with authenticated requests, timeout/cancellation, unknown fields, caching/clearing, local behavior, snapshots, and coordinated concurrent fetches.
- C-06: Verify TypeScript fixtures, consumer regression tests, Metadata/LRU functional concurrency, full tests/vet, both Linux builds, and 100/100 Docker assertions (2026-09-14).
- C-07: Complete exhaustive cross-language type/encoding/error edge cases, real AWS LMDS acceptance, and performance budgets. Detailed remaining items: COMMONS_PLAN.md.
Logger¶
-
L-25: Reduce common Logger encoding and filtering overhead (#248) while preserving root order, omission rules, hooks, caller ownership, error atomicity and the main-only stack Preview. Logger regression tests, its packaged-module/standalone-consumer checks and the native Lambda SDK Logger fixture pass; the composed Lambda example builds as static Linux amd64/arm64 ELF binaries with CGO disabled. Same-source local Windows benchmarks retain output sizes: the small emitted case drops from 118 to 34 allocations, invocation-bound INFO from 193 to 53, and both unbuffered filtered cases reach zero allocations. Timing observations, source hashes and scope are recorded in PERFORMANCE_LOGGER_248.json; no AWS performance improvement or universal budget is claimed (2026-10-15).
-
L-24: Implement main-only structured error stacks and handler panic logging Preview (#241). Verify error-chain identity, independent join branches, lazy 64-frame stacks, opt-outs/hooks, single-line JSON, nested/concurrent cleanup, and original panic preservation under diagnostic failures. Actual typed/raw Lambda SDK and OTel exporter composition passes; PR #242 CI passes packaged Logger/examples/integration tests, vet, tidy/isolation, consumers, Linux amd64/arm64 cross-builds and Docker Linux amd64 Lambda/streaming/Valkey acceptance. Local Docker startup was unavailable; hosted Docker supplies platform evidence. Fresh public v1.2.0 consumption retains the old behavior and rejects all three Preview APIs. A public SHA consumer and a post-merge direct-origin
@mainconsumer verify the Preview; main resolves toa179f0373577(proxy branch caching is documented). Cloudflare Pages and GitHub Pages deployments succeed for that source. All Go checks use CGO disabled; no AWS tests or Go version publication (2026-10-15). -
AUDIT-LOGGER-181-LOCAL: Complete the finite Logger boundary matrix, reusing 48 pinned action cases and adding 26 timezone/environment/sink cases plus native marshaler and short-write regressions. Reproduce and fix ignored container TextMarshaler values/errors and duplicate failed JSON/streaming marshaler calls during replacement. Preserve Go JSON v2, native diagnostic and zero-offset differences explicitly. Packaged Logger tests/vet/tidy/isolation and an independent consumer pass with CGO disabled; broader L-08/L-09, resource and multi-worker/platform gates remain separate (2026-10-13).
-
L-23: Add opt-in WrapRawHandler to log incoming JSON before JSON v2 typed decoding, preserving unknown/nested members, empty/null values and exact numeric tokens without changing WrapHandler. Verify runtime-entry shapes and decode failures, formatter/replacer redaction, environment/option/level suppression, raw correlation, nested scope/error/panic/cancellation cleanup and 32 concurrent invocations. Logger packaged tests/vet/tidy and an independent consumer pass with GOWORK off and CGO disabled; local composed Parser/Validation ordering (four cases) and compiled JMESPath raw-only correlation pass in a focused workspace fixture. Cross-compile the new raw-entry Lambda consumer for Linux amd64 and arm64 with CGO disabled; documentation lock/navigation/eighteen guides/strict build pass. This is local acceptance, not cloud execution or publication; hosted packaged integration/runtime checks remain the PR gate. Evidence: MODULE_ACCEPTANCE_LOGGER_RAW_EVENT.json; issue #148 (2026-10-09).
-
L-17: Preserve separate child persistent/temporary snapshots, inherited temporary precedence and reset/removal semantics; verify 12 actual TypeScript scenarios plus native invocation closure and ownership tests. Tracks #3 (2026-10-04).
- L-18: Remove top-level empty strings/nulls after map-shaped formatting and before replacement; preserve nested empties, zero/false, collections, caller ownership and native marshaler/error behavior. Verify 18 TypeScript scenarios and native Go regressions. Tracks #4 (2026-10-04).
- L-19: Match active-trace flush/clear, sequential trace replacement and oversized-entry error details; verify 18 TypeScript scenarios including exact UTF-8 capacities, native sampled/unsampled OTel span/trace changes, 40 concurrent parent/child invocations and output-error preservation. Tracks #5 (2026-10-04). Full configuration/diagnostic/serialization parity remains open under L-08/L-09.
- L-20: Verify #3/#4/#5 in the maintained Lambda fixture, including actual request context, separate child stores, shallow cleanup, unsampled trace replacement and overflow fallback. Combined packaged checks passed 31 modules/28 consumers; both Linux architectures built with CGO disabled, then runtime-only acceptance reused those binaries after fixing the container timezone. Passed 889/889 RIE, 95/95 streaming and 14/14 saved Batch assertions with cleanup and no AWS resources (2026-10-04). Evidence: MODULE_ACCEPTANCE_LOGGER.json, LOCAL_ACCEPTANCE.json, STREAMING_ACCEPTANCE.json and BATCH_ACCEPTANCE.json.
- L-21: Resolve the #4/#5 review regressions: invocation cleanup flushes its owned buffers after a handler attaches a new OTel trace, while public flush/clear retain active-trace checks; empty named-string attributes implementing json.Marshaler preserve their values and errors. Verify 24 sampled/unsampled parent/child cleanup cases (success, error, panic and disabled flushing across absent/runtime/OTel entry traces), 16 attribute-source/replacer cases, all Logger tests and combined packaged checks for 31 modules/28 consumers. The initial full check passed 30 modules; after a Docker engine HTTP 500, only integration was repeated. Both Linux architectures rebuilt with CGO disabled; Docker passed 898/898 RIE assertions (nine new review regressions), 95/95 streaming and 14/14 saved Batch checks with resource cleanup and no AWS resources. Evidence: MODULE_ACCEPTANCE_LOGGER.json, LOCAL_ACCEPTANCE.json (2026-10-04).
-
L-22: Preserve empty named-string attributes implementing encoding.TextMarshaler, including custom text, explicitly empty text and returned errors; retain MarshalJSON precedence when both interfaces are present. Verify 48 attribute-source/replacer cases (32 added), the unchanged 48 TypeScript reference scenarios, all 31 packaged modules/28 consumers in one completed full check, both CGO-disabled Linux builds and 904/904 RIE assertions (six added), 95/95 streaming and 14/14 saved Batch checks. Docker executed amd64; arm64 was cross-compiled. A private temporary container kept Docker active during validation and was removed afterward; all runtime resources were cleaned and no AWS resources were used. Tracks #4. Evidence: MODULE_ACCEPTANCE_LOGGER.json, LOCAL_ACCEPTANCE.json (2026-10-04).
-
L-15: Apply descendant replacers to struct/custom-marshaler JSON without duplicate root callbacks, preserving field tags and large numeric tokens. Verify redaction, omission, and precision.
-
L-16: Accept compiled correlation extractors through a dependency-free interface. Verify callback precedence, diagnostic error reporting, business-result preservation, and request cleanup; Logger's dependency graph excludes JMESPath.
-

- L-02: Implement persistent/temporary attributes and child loggers; verify state isolation and custom child output.
- L-03: Implement Lambda enrichment and isolated invocation state; verify 100 concurrent invocations and reject late writes.
- L-04: Implement ALC precedence and invocation sampling; verify the reference integer boundary.
- L-05: Implement buffering, eviction, oversized entries, error flush, and successful-invocation discard; verify lifecycle tests.

- L-07: Generate actual TypeScript v2.35.0 log fixtures and compare normalized Go output.
- L-08: Complete custom formatter/replacer, timezone, stdout/stderr routing, and all environment edge-case acceptance tests. APIs are present.
- L-08a: Preserve replacer traversal through pointers without duplicate property callbacks; verify redaction, caller immutability, pointer cycles, formatter failures/replacement, UTC/Hong Kong/New York timestamps, and level stream routing. Remaining environment and serialization cases stay under L-08/L-09.
- L-09: Close every Logger API/default/diagnostic and serialization parity gap.
- L-10: Implement constructor sampling, first-invocation decision reuse, independent warm decisions, and diagnostic logs. Verify the pinned TypeScript sampling fixture and unit/concurrency regression suite (2026-09-14).
- L-11: Add all nine reference built-in correlation sources for maps and JSON-tagged events, custom callback precedence, and invocation cleanup. Arbitrary JMESPath expressions remain deferred to the query package (2026-09-14).
- L-12: Replace private merge routines with Commons indexed-array/object merge for persistent and temporary attributes; verify reserved fields, parent/child isolation, and consumer configuration modes.
- L-13: Add reference getters
GetLevelName,GetLogEvent, andGetCorrelationID; verify scoped levels, constructor configuration, temporary-only correlation semantics, and cleanup against the pinned source contract. - L-14: Support sampled/unsampled OTel contexts for buffering without a runtime X-Ray header, derive log trace/span/X-Ray IDs from the active context, and reject stale runtime correlation. Verify error flush, success discard, late-write rejection, and pure W3C success/error paths in Docker (2026-09-14).
Tracer¶
-
AUDIT-TRACER-182-LOCAL: Complete the finite OTel capture/lifecycle matrix, reusing 128 pinned HTTP middleware cases and adding capture/environment/SDK gates, five flush-context/ownership paths, 32 concurrent closed-span scopes, sibling survival, instrumentation-error preservation and eight independent HTTP parsing/storage cases. Both affected packaged modules pass tests/vet/tidy/isolation and two independent consumers with CGO disabled. No new production defect was reproduced. - T-05: Verify bounded flush deadlines and preserve business errors when flush fails.
- T-06: Verify the optional X-Ray adapter's handler/child lifecycle and native metadata.
- Retired T-07: The legacy SDK adapter is deprecated and frozen (2026-09-14). Preserve regression evidence and migration notices; no new SDK-specific features or compatibility fixes are planned. Maintained X-Ray delivery uses OpenTelemetry.
- T-08: Validate OTLP collector delivery, X-Ray indexing/service maps, and Lambda freeze/timeout behavior in AWS.
-
T-08a: Verify collector-to-X-Ray delivery, indexed annotations, normal/error/panic closure, sampled/unsampled requests, and both architectures in ap-east-1. Evidence: AWS_VALIDATION.md. Hard timeout/freeze recovery and exhaustive service-map parity remain open.
-
T-09: Escape dots and percent signs in OTel metadata key components, preventing namespace/key collisions while retaining ordinary attribute names. Verify independent values with regression tests (2026-09-14).
- T-10: Add explicit W3C/X-Ray HTTP context extraction with existing-context/W3C precedence, baggage and cancellation preservation, and invalid-header fallback. Trace queries recognize external OTel contexts and
XRayTraceIDuses the shared SDK-free formatter. - T-11: Honor
OTEL_TRACES_SAMPLERandOTEL_TRACES_SAMPLER_ARGin the default provider. Verify default/always-off/ratio/parent-based cases and X-Ray-compatible root ID generation; injected provider ownership remains unchanged. - T-12: Deprecate and freeze
tracer/xrayin package/type/constructor/module metadata, add a once-per-process English migration warning, and verify the warning alongside existing regressions. Document OTel collector-to-X-Ray migration with the current AWS maintenance timeline. - T-13: Remove the legacy SDK from the maintained Lambda fixture and its dependency graph, retire new legacy cloud fixtures, and verify 12 packaged modules, nine independent consumers, both Lambda architecture builds, and 105/105 local Docker assertions. No new AWS deployment was performed.
Metrics¶
-
AUDIT-METRICS-183-LOCAL: Complete the finite metadata/lifecycle matrix, reusing existing value/timestamp/wrapper/HTTP corpora and adding fifteen actual TypeScript metadata observations, exact native numeric snapshots/atomic failures, channel-fenced finish overlap and thirty-two two-instance invocations. Reproduce and fix serialization after scope closure; preserve insertion snapshots, JSON v2 non-finite rejection and default wrapper/HTTP policies. Both affected packaged modules and two independent consumers pass with CGO disabled/GOWORK off; scoped JSON v2 and documentation/discovery checks pass. Extend ignore rules for local authentication and recovery files; verify public candidates, staged metadata and all module archives without rerunning runtime tests (2026-09-27).
- D-07: Complete performance measurements, license/provenance review, public module identity, and release packaging.
- D-07a: Assess Signer priority/reverse dependencies and optional utility publication against the pinned 14 public manifests and official Go module guidance. See SIGNER_PLAN.md and PUBLISHING_PLAN.md. Signer is subsequently implemented under S-IMPL; publication remains open. The original module split is tracked under D-07b.
- D-07b: Split nine public and three development Go modules with independent dependency files/version entries, workspace-only development mappings, and preserved import paths/invocation identity. Verify all 12 packaged modules with GOWORK=off (tests, vet, tidy consistency), nine standalone consumer builds and dependency boundaries, both Linux architectures, and 100 Docker assertions. Evidence: MODULE_ACCEPTANCE.json, MODULES.md, and LOCAL_ACCEPTANCE.json. Internal proxy versions are synthetic local fixtures; no public release is claimed.
Race-detector execution is intentionally excluded because CGO must remain disabled. Functional concurrency coverage does not establish race-detector equivalence. Local cross-compilation is the standard build workflow.
Documentation site and GitHub Actions¶
- DOC-01: Build an English MkDocs Material site with search, light/dark themes, utility navigation, a native Lambda quickstart, and dedicated Logger/OTel Tracer guides. Reuse existing guides and include the maintained Go example directly. Strict navigation/link/anchor/snippet validation passed (2026-09-30).
- DOC-02: Isolate documentation dependencies in website/pyproject.toml and website/uv.lock; verify lock consistency and keep generated HTML, virtual environments, and caches ignored.
- CI-01: Configure packaged multi-module verification, license checks, CGO-disabled Linux amd64/arm64 cross-compilation, static ELF/ZIP validation, and scoped verification artifacts. Validate both workflow files with actionlint v1.7.12. This records configuration validation, not a new remote Go CI run.
- CI-02: Pin all seven Actions to the full commit of the latest official stable release checked on 2026-09-30, and configure weekly Dependabot Actions updates.
- DOC-03: Configure PR documentation builds and main-only Pages deployment with deployment-scoped permissions. Enable GitHub Pages with build_type=workflow for rambow-cloud/powertools-lambda-go (2026-09-30).
-
DOC-04: Push the reviewed initial source, verify the first remote Go CI and Documentation runs, and inspect the published site's navigation, search, themes, and source links in a browser. Local build success does not establish deployment success.
-
DOC-05: Replace the stock tabbed theme with a developer-guide layout informed by the TypeScript site's public theme: light header, organization bar, persistent utility tree, breadcrumbs, right-hand contents, and coordinated typography/code/table styles. Preserve built-in search, palette, drawer, and copy behavior. Strict build passed for all 66 Markdown pages (2026-09-30).
-
DOC-06: Review the default modern theme's homepage, Logger, and quickstart in a browser at desktop and 390px mobile widths, including title permalinks, edit actions, light/dark mode, search, drawer navigation, keyboard focus, and code copying. The prior custom layout was replaced under DOC-11. No browser-based visual acceptance is claimed by the local build.
-
DOC-07: Remove inherited inline-layout offsets and clipping from the header repository label, and prevent icon/label shrinking in its flex layout. Strict documentation build passed; browser confirmation remains part of DOC-06 (2026-09-30).
-
DOC-08: Generate and store the project PNG logo, record its prompt and provenance, and replace the header, navigation drawer, and favicon icons. Verify strict build, root/nested asset URLs, both image placements, and byte-identical asset copying (2026-09-30). Browser visual acceptance remains part of DOC-06.
-
DOC-09: Replace the earlier G symbol with the user-selected ram/cloud identity plus an adapted Go Gopher. Save a full wordmark and compact emblem, update header/drawer/favicon references, and preserve Renee French / CC BY 4.0 attribution and modification notes. Verify transparency, strict build, both page depths, footer credits, and copied asset hashes (2026-09-30). Browser visual acceptance remains part of DOC-06.
-
DOC-10: Migrate the documentation builder to pinned Zensical 0.0.67 with its classic theme; preserve configuration, page paths, project overrides, CSS, artwork, and maintained Go snippet. Update local/CI commands and replace unsupported navigation validation with a separate coverage/target check. Verify the dependency lock, clean strict build of all 66 Markdown pages, missing/duplicate/omitted navigation rejection, broken-anchor and missing-snippet rejection, rendered snippet content after Markdown tab expansion, and byte-identical artwork/CSS copying (2026-10-01). Browser visual acceptance remains part of DOC-06; no remote deployment is claimed.
-
DOC-11: Replace the customized classic theme with Zensical's default modern theme, fonts, icons, and palette toggle; remove the old CSS and template overrides. Preserve navigation, logo/favicon, edit links, and Markdown features. Navigation coverage, a clean strict build of all 66 Markdown pages, and generated homepage/Logger/quickstart checks without the former styling/overrides passed (2026-10-01). Browser visual acceptance remains part of DOC-06.
-
D-PREUPLOAD-REVIEW: Review 657 candidate files and 32 existing index blobs; classify all 350 Gitleaks matches as synthetic fixture data or an artifact hash. Verify ignored/generated boundaries, example account/email values, logo metadata, and the updated root module archive (2026-09-30). Record the incomplete/outdated index separately in PUBLICATION.md; no staging, commit, push, Go suite, or AWS operation was performed.
-
D-STAGING-REVIEW: Replace the old partial index with all 657 reviewed public files and verify staged paths/content against the working tree and privacy-review inventory (2026-09-30). Retain all 64 synthetic testdata files and maintained generators; exclude ignored/private/generated content. Preserve upstream Unicode comment whitespace and recognize CRLF line endings during whitespace review. Back up the original index privately. No commit, push, Go suite, or AWS operation was performed. See PUBLICATION.md.
-
CONTRIB-01: Define an owner-inclusive issue-to-PR process, three issue forms, a PR template, and a checkout-free read-only metadata check. Verify 16 offline policy/form tests, actionlint v1.7.12, the documentation lock, navigation coverage, 18 guide contracts, and a clean strict build (2026-10-01). This records local configuration acceptance only; hosted forms, remote CI, and main protection require rollout verification in the maintainer guide.
-
REL-NOTES: Implement accumulated per-module release notes from merged PRs, Git ancestry boundaries, deduplication, categorized user-facing entries, historical overrides, explicit initial scope, and module-scoped direct-commit acknowledgements. Offline release regressions and 17 contribution/form regressions pass; a read-only live-history preparation collected PRs #2/#6 and three Logger fixes from #6, with seven pre-policy commits identified for explicit review (2026-10-04). See Releasing modules.
- REL-WORKFLOW: Implement reviewed release plans, a Release Issue form, explicit manual publication/preflight, exact merged-SHA and required-check gates, dependency ordering, conflict rejection, fresh public consumer/checksum verification, progress artifacts, and resumable publication. GoReleaser OSS v2.18.2 creates draft Releases and finalizes them after consumer verification; its prefixed-tag adapter replaces skipped built-in validation with clean-worktree/version/tag checks. Validate 28 offline release regressions including the real GoReleaser CLI for root/nested/prerelease tags and draft creation/finalization against a local GitHub API fixture, actionlint v1.7.12, and a clean strict documentation build (2026-10-04). This records implementation/configuration acceptance; it does not claim real public publication.
- REL-AUTO: Implement one-component, multiple-component, and all-maintained-module preparation with automatic independent versions, transitive unpublished dependency inclusion, workspace consumer requirements/sums and version mappings, accumulated historical notes, tracking issues/PRs, and explicit required-check dispatch. Authorized preparation merges publish automatically after main checks; manual recovery requires only the PR number. Verify 14 isolated automation regressions with real Git/Go metadata and fake GitHub writes, including rollback, reserved versions, duplicate PR/check recovery, pushed-branch recovery, and automatic-publication gating; 28 release regressions including real GoReleaser draft/finalization, 18 contribution regressions, actionlint v1.7.12, and a clean strict documentation build pass (2026-10-04). Hosted automation and real publication remain unverified. See Releasing modules.
- REL-NATIVE: Replace preparation's manual workflow dispatches with native PR-run activation, exact-head/repository/PR filtering, bounded waiting for asynchronous run creation, authorization requests, and native failure recovery. Nineteen automation regressions passed locally. Hosted rollout established that manually dispatched job checks do not satisfy required rulesets: PR #16 was rejected despite green dispatches, then accepted after all three native PR runs were authorized through the Actions API and passed (2026-10-04). Default-token authorization remains subject to GitHub policy; report the maintainer's Approve workflows to run action when it is forbidden. See Releasing modules and issue #17.
- REL-DRAFT: Resolve matching Release drafts through authenticated listing because GitHub's by-tag endpoint returns published Releases. Reject duplicate matches and retain reviewed-note/tag conflict checks before publication. Thirty release regressions passed, including the real GoReleaser OSS v2.18.2 draft/finalization fixture with draft-by-tag 404 responses (2026-10-04). The first hosted attempt created the reviewed root tag/draft at PR #16's SHA and then stopped at the old draft lookup; preserve those objects for recovery. Restrict progress artifacts to reports, notes, configurations, and logs. Public consumer acceptance remains separate below; see issue #19.
- REL-VISIBILITY: Bound post-GoReleaser read-after-write waiting to 30 seconds, validate every observed Release against frozen notes, and propagate conflicts/API errors immediately without repeating writes. Thirty-three offline release regressions passed, including delayed draft/finalization, timeout preservation, and immediate error propagation (2026-10-04). Hosted run 37206952188 published and consumer-verified root v0.1.0, then stopped before the new commons/regex draft became visible; issue #20 tracks recovery.
- REL-PUBLIC: Publish all 27 maintained public modules as v0.1.0 from merged preparation PR #16 at immutable SHA 34fcc751355a2b29bca393748139ff96dd8bbf2a. The hosted GoReleaser OSS v2.18.2 run finalized every Release only after independent public download, tidy, build, module/checksum verification, and rejection of local replacements, with CGO disabled, GOWORK=off and fresh session caches. Release issue #15 closed automatically after completion. The frozen tracer/xray adapter was excluded. See RELEASE_ACCEPTANCE.json (2026-10-04). Hosted preparation controls and native PR/main checks were exercised; browser form rendering and default-token authorization remain separate rollout checks.
- REL-UNIFIED: Replace new component-scoped releases with one version for all maintained public modules, preserving independent Go paths and prefixed tags. Add project release_version, aggregate auto-increment policy, cohort-wide reserved-version avoidance, synchronized internal requirements, schema-2 full-cohort validation, component/repository grouped root notes, and root finalization last with the stable Latest label. Twenty-one isolated automation and 37 release regressions passed, including Logger-only cohort bumps, divergent published baselines/reserved nested tags, partial/mixed-plan rejection, aligned requirements, failure/resume ordering, legacy schema-1 recovery, and real GoReleaser OSS v2.18.2 root/component/prerelease draft/finalization and Latest configuration. Eighteen contribution/form regressions and actionlint v1.7.12 passed (2026-10-05). This records implementation acceptance; no new public version was prepared or published. See issue #23 and Releasing modules.
- SIGNER-BODY-HANDOFF: Preserve asynchronous base-transport body ownership for custom signers returning the input request or a clone sharing its body. Four deterministic success/error regressions reproduced premature closure before the fix; packaged Signer tests, vet, tidy verification and its independent consumer build pass with CGO disabled. Distinct/empty bodies and nil signing results retain cleanup coverage. See issue #25 and Signer ownership (2026-10-05).
- MODULE-REVIEW-20261005: Review the main entry points and critical state/ownership/error/decoding paths of the 26 maintained public modules excluding Logger. Twenty-five native Windows packaged checks and standalone consumers passed with CGO disabled; the exact-baseline hosted Linux run passed all 31 repository modules, including KMS and frozen X-Ray. Register issues #25–#28 before production changes; merge the verified Signer fix before starting the shared decoding fix. Local Docker runtime acceptance was unavailable. See the review scope and evidence.
- UTF8-DECODING: Reuse Commons.DecodeUTF8 in Parser, Parameters and JMESPath while preserving each reference path's BOM and gzip fallback rules. Generate 56 expected cases from the pinned TypeScript 2.35.0 packages: 20 Parser, 16 Parameters and 20 JMESPath cases. New regressions failed before the fix; all three affected packaged modules passed tests, vet, tidy and standalone consumer builds afterward, with CGO disabled and GOWORK=off. Parameters additionally verifies Auto transforms and untransformed raw bytes. See issues #26–#28 and the review report (2026-10-05).
-
CI-RUNTIME: Add native PR/main runtime simulation after packaged checks, fresh amd64/arm64 integration builds, Docker amd64 RIE/streaming/Valkey execution, saved Batch checks and Go-to-TypeScript KMS interoperability. PR #32's Go CI run 37233122495 passed all 31 modules / 28 consumers and 904 + 95 + 14 + 108 runtime assertions with CGO disabled, no cleanup errors, and preserved checked-in acceptance history. Ten offline evidence safeguards, 37 release and 22 automation regressions, actionlint and licenses pass. Require runtime success on preparation PR/main release gates and add the observed GitHub Actions check to the existing active main ruleset, preserving the other rules. No cloud AWS or arm64 execution is claimed. See issue #31 and the hosted acceptance summary (2026-10-05).
-
CI-ROUTING: Select Go/runtime, documentation, metadata and release-tooling suites from complete Git diffs; keep a fail-closed aggregate gate and actual-success publication checks. Verify 12 routing/gate regressions, 18 contribution checks, 38 release checks (including real GoReleaser), and 22 automation checks, plus actionlint. PR #37 passed every hosted suite; the label taxonomy PR provides hosted fast-path acceptance below (2026-10-05).
-
LABELS-CI-FASTPATH: Maintain seven category labels and matching issue forms, preserving the red bug label and unrelated standard labels. Synchronize repository labels; 19 contribution/catalog/form tests and strict documentation checks pass. After PR #37 merged, PR #38 native CI run 37247755678 passed in 31 seconds: documentation 16s, metadata 14s, and CI gate 3s; module, runtime and release-tooling jobs were skipped. Record the exact tested heads and observed results in CI routing acceptance (2026-10-05).
-
REL-NOTES-FILES: Classify unified release notes from committed module file differences before version metadata preparation. Show concrete updates for changed modules and bump-only entries for unchanged modules, with nested ownership, rename/deletion coverage, and Git-verified frozen file lists. Preserve legacy note formats. Add read-only source-bound previews and opt-in tool-owned GitHub draft previews outside the module tag namespace. Verify 42 release regressions and 24 automation regressions, including unchanged dependency consumers, tampered file evidence and draft safeguards. The v0.1.0-to-main preview identifies 4 updated modules and 23 version-only bumps (2026-10-05).
- ISSUE-MODULE-LABELS: Add a catalog label for every manifest module, multi-select issue forms, trusted issue-event automation, and manual catalog synchronization/backfill. Preserve unrelated labels, update explicit module selections on edits, classify legacy affected-area declarations additively, and exclude pull requests. Apply release directly during tracking-issue creation and reuse, including built-in-token creation. Self-review historical classification and verify 27 contribution/form/label, 12 CI routing, 42 release and 25 release automation regressions, actionlint, and utility guide checks (2026-10-05). See issue #45 and the contribution guide.
- DOC-RELEASE-NOTES: Add a user-facing Release notes page and navigation/homepage links. Preserve the published v0.2.0 plan's module updates, PR references, project-qualified names, 23 bump-only entries and 27-module version table; identify v0.1.0 as the initial release with separate historical evidence. Document published-only page maintenance. Locked dependency, navigation, 18 utility-guide and strict site-build checks pass; self-review confirms five rendered detail sections and a rendered module table. Example and CI version policies remain separate issues #48 and #49. See issue #47 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-52: Keep unexpired cache idempotency records locked when execution deadlines are absent or zero. Verify six acquisition/expiry cases, overlapping execution and replay, unchanged recovery CAS and validation regressions, and the packaged cache module with its independent consumer. Document the intentional TypeScript v2.35.0 correction; navigation, guide and strict site checks pass with CGO disabled (2026-10-05). See issue #52.
- BUG-53: Populate Batch failure responses before returning FullBatchFailureError. Verify 16 source/mode/suppression combinations through Process and Lambda wrapping, including FIFO-skipped records and omitted empty DynamoDB identifiers. Preserve upstream fixtures while asserting the intentional full-failure correction; packaged Batch tests, vet, tidy and independent consumer build, plus navigation, guide and strict site checks pass with CGO disabled (2026-10-05). See issue #53.
- BUG-54: Propagate non-aggregate AppSync authorization failures after all item workers finish, preserving the original error chain and deterministic first-input denial. Verify direct/wrapped/error-panic regressions and a mixed concurrent publication, preserve ordinary error envelopes and diagnostic panic behavior, and explicitly correct the pinned reference expectation without changing its fixture. Packaged AppSync tests, vet, tidy and an independent consumer build, navigation, guide and strict site checks pass with CGO disabled. Integration fixture preparation PR #72 separately passed hosted packaged/Lambda/runtime CI before this module change; it preserves ordinary per-item failure and subscription authorization coverage. See issue #54 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-55: Accept documented SES receipt variants: optional DMARC policy and common header members, Event/RequestResponse Lambda actions, and preserved replyTo with legacy reply-to compatibility. Verify 13 valid variants, 12 invalid present-field controls and handler delivery; original TypeScript service fixtures remain unchanged. Packaged Parser tests, vet, tidy, an independent consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #55 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-56: Require and preserve existing PhysicalResourceId values on CloudFormation Update/Delete requests. Verify both parsed handlers, eight missing/null/wrong-type controls and Create without an ID. Keep original TypeScript fixtures with explicit field/issue corrections and change the existing Python runtime assertion to require preservation. Packaged Parser tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #56 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-57: Accept VPC Lattice v2 string-array headers/queries, preserve optional requestId and canonical identity names with legacy aliases. Verify handler preservation with/without optional metadata, envelope payload delivery, ten invalid present-field controls, and v1/legacy v2 compatibility. Original HTTP fixtures remain unchanged; packaged Parser tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #57 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-58: Preserve REST Lambda-authorizer custom context through context/proxy/REQUEST-authorizer handlers, while keeping claims-bearing contexts on the typed Cognito branch. Verify three handler shapes, two valid Cognito variants, eight malformed claims/scopes controls, an envelope and four optional/type controls. Keep original fixtures and restore only successful custom context expectations. Packaged Parser tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #58 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-59: Accept documented Cognito trigger variants and common initial/nullable inputs: caller client ID, client metadata, sender response, empty Define/Create session and unset Verify answerCorrect. Verify nine reproduced flows, all 20 expanded sources, two nullable sender controls and 17 invalid inputs blocked before business code. Preserve original identity fixtures with explicit expectation corrections and accept the existing runtime empty-session input. Packaged Parser tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #59 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-60: Honor exact case-insensitive Accept-Encoding tokens, q=0 exclusions, specific/wildcard precedence and explicit identity preferences for gzip/deflate. Verify 46 decoded-payload/response checks plus existing guards/lifecycle tests; keep original fixtures with 24 scoped expectation corrections and require runtime gzip alongside identity. Packaged HTTP tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #60 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-61: Decode application/json and structured +json media types before request/response body checks. Verify 52 route-level cases covering casing, parameters, invalid JSON statuses, token boundaries, malformed media types, text and unchanged wire payloads/Valid transformations; original fixtures remain unchanged. Packaged HTTP tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #61 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-62: Normalize empty buffered 204/205/304 responses to http.NoBody while rejecting nonempty content and retaining streaming guards. Verify 81 v1/v2/ALB proxy/typed/native cases, skipped response body schemas, single handler calls and exactly-once native closure. Preserve original fixtures with four named empty-204 corrections. Packaged HTTP tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #62 (2026-10-05).
- BUG-63-64: Preserve explicit response encoding and native/typed binary bytes in the shared HTTP conversion pipeline. Snapshot tri-state flags, decode preencoded strings once and retain explicit false over inference; recognize PDF/octet-stream tokens and native invalid UTF-8. Verify 84 adapter/form/validation/streaming cases plus converter, compression and flag-snapshot checks, exact bytes and owned-reader closure. Preserve original fixtures with four malformed-preencoded corrections; packaged HTTP tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issues #63 and #64 (2026-10-05).
-
BUG-65: Preserve buffered cookie lines including Expires commas, all native cookies, and arbitrary v1/ALB repeated header arrays; retain response-header validation and scalar dates. Verify 36 native/typed/proxy cases, two invalid-header controls and three Streaming projections, caller header snapshots and owned-body closure. Keep original fixtures with six buffered corrections and 36 v1 streaming corrections sourced from matching v2 fixtures; headers-only streaming retains its final-cookie boundary. Packaged HTTP tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #65 (2026-10-05).
-
BUG-66: Bound HTTP error redispatch by selected registration with an iterative, cancellation-aware registry snapshot. Verify same-type errors, cycles, both fallbacks, ordinary callback errors, identity guards, cancellation and two finite chains without mutating handler maps. Packaged HTTP tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #66 (2026-10-05).
-
BUG-67: Discard GET/HEAD request bodies consistently after method normalization across v1/v2/ALB and accept omitted v1 bodies. Verify 60 conversion/route cases including encoded bodies and original snapshots, plus 12 POST/PATCH byte/replay controls. Preserve original fixtures with one lowercase ALB GET correction sourced from its uppercase baseline. Packaged HTTP tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #67 (2026-10-05).
-
BUG-68: Isolate Parameters caches by effective SSM decrypt/path SDK selectors and Secrets Manager version/stage inputs; share matching single/batch SSM entries. Nonpositive lifetimes bypass lookup and storage without evicting older entries. Verify provider option precedence and reuse, six path variants, seven secret variants, batch isolation, warm/cold zero-age controls and single/multiple nonpositive lifetimes, alongside existing force/clear/clone/cancellation checks. Packaged Parameters tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #68 (2026-10-05).
-
BUG-69: Apply the same strict/ignore-and-warn missing-selector policy to Data Masking Rules and Fields through one shared helper. Verify ten Rules-only/mixed/wildcard, ordering/overlap, warning and partial-failure ownership cases; keep null/Undefined and existing masking behavior. Preserve original TypeScript fixtures with one named erase-154 correction. Packaged Data Masking tests, vet, tidy, consumer and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #69 (2026-10-05).
-
SERVICE-88: Add Parameters fake-client contracts for request forwarding, typed error chains, repeated failures, cancelled-fetch cache exclusion, recovery and warm reuse across SSM, Secrets Manager and DynamoDB; verify both SSM missing policies. Preserve existing AppConfig token/concurrency coverage. Packaged Parameters tests, vet, tidy and independent consumer, license checks and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #88 (2026-10-05).
-
SERVICE-89: Execute 13 sourced synthetic HTTP scenarios through real SSM, Secrets Manager, DynamoDB and AppConfig Data SDK clients. Verify exact requests and consumed response sequences, wire binary decoding, typed service errors, pagination, bounded retries, AppConfig token headers/unchanged bodies and cancellation after network dispatch. Packaged Parameters tests, vet, tidy and independent consumer plus navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled. See issue #89 (2026-10-05).
-
SERVICE-90-LOCAL: Validate the explicitly supported local KMS HTTP subset using real SDK calls: five valid data-key lengths/selectors, six invalid selector cases, binary Encrypt/Decrypt, typed context/key/algorithm errors and eleven malformed/unsupported HTTP cases. Preserve absent/empty context equivalence and reject unsupported options. Native fixture tests/vet, Linux Encryption SDK combination-test compilation and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass with CGO disabled; full execution remains part of hosted Linux CI. See issue #90 (2026-10-06).
-
SERVICE-91-LOCAL: Execute the three opt-in stateful adapter suites against official DynamoDB Local 3.3.1 using its native Java distribution. Verify one of 16 conditional claims, old records, large-integer completion, fresh-manager replay/validation, expiry/lease equality guards, deletion, tenant isolation, Parameters refresh/native binary/missing policies and real paginated queries. All suites and cleanup pass with CGO disabled. Native vet and four offline missing/skip/failure safeguards pass; the default Docker image/entrypoint is pinned and reviewed, with hosted service-job adaptation tracked in issue #93. See issue #91 (2026-10-06).
-
SERVICE-93-LOCAL: Verify affected-module ownership and current-version transitive consumers, test-only scoping, renamed/deleted multi-commit diffs, independent runtime/service selection, structured module arguments, conservative shared-input routing and a fail-closed gate/full-regression marker. All 22 routing/gate tests, 67 release regressions, 27 contribution tests, 10 runtime evidence guards, actionlint and navigation/guide/strict-site checks pass locally. Release publication requires actual Full regression and DynamoDB Local success in addition to existing checks. Hosted full regression and pinned Docker service execution remain the final PR acceptance gate. See issue #93 (2026-10-06).
-
DOC-PKGSITE-SOURCE: Add canonical package overviews, resolvable API links and external Go examples for all 35 public packages in the 27 maintained modules. Go's documentation parser discovers 35 examples: 25 executable and 10 compile-only. Verify all 25 executable examples, nine infrastructure example compilations, packaged tests/vet/tidy and independent consumers for 26 maintained modules plus the unchanged frozen X-Ray adapter, with GOWORK off and CGO disabled. License, navigation, guide and strict site-build checks pass. Document module-specific browser verification and the separate publication requirement. KMS compilation and execution remain the independent acceptance gate below. See issues #99, #100, #101, #102 and #103 (2026-10-06).
-
DOC-PKGSITE-KMS: Verify the KMS module's new compile-only example through packaged Linux tests/vet/tidy and an independent Linux amd64 consumer in hosted CI. The source commit 7f361fc passes all 30 selected packaged modules and 28 independent public consumers, DynamoDB Local, documentation and the contribution policy with CGO disabled. This completes the KMS documentation gate despite local Windows memory/Docker blockers. Both-architecture Lambda artifacts and runtime simulation were not selected for this documentation change; this is not release Full regression. See issue #101 and PR #104 (2026-10-06).
-
DOC-PKGSITE-ENV: Verify the four observability examples under default configuration, POWERTOOLS_DEV=true and explicit Metrics/Tracer disable flags with GOWORK off and CGO disabled. All eight environment-specific example runs pass. Metrics and HTTP Metrics pass fresh packaged tests/vet/tidy and independent consumers; Tracer and HTTP Tracer tests/vet pass against existing isolated dependency fixtures with the updated examples. Fresh Windows Tracer dependency compilation hits paging-file exhaustion, so fresh Tracer archive/consumer acceptance remains the hosted CI gate. Production enable/disable policy is unchanged. See issue #100 and PR #104 (2026-10-06).
-
HTTP-105-REQUEST: Add opt-in request=1 Count metrics while preserving the default TypeScript v2.35.0 output. Verify all 176 reference scenarios in both modes (352 cases), zero/false options, disabled output, 64 concurrent requests, nested Lambda scopes, error/panic/cancellation and failed-writer behavior, streaming publication and route retention across automatic/single-metric flushes. Packaged tests/vet/tidy and an independent consumer pass with GOWORK off and CGO disabled. Both public examples pass under development and explicit-disable flags; Go doc resolves the option link and discovers the executable request-count example. License, navigation, guide and strict site-build checks pass. No cloud AWS tests or release Full regression were performed. See issue #105 (2026-10-06).
-
MAINT-107-IDENTITY: Remove all three first-party UnsafePointer calls from Commons merging, Logger normalization and Bedrock JSON encoding, retaining opaque uintptr identity tokens without pointer reconstruction or new dependencies. Verify 23 traversal cases covering map/slice/pointer cycles, named maps, shared descendants, overlapping slices, nil containers and caller ownership. Packaged tests/vet/tidy and three independent consumers pass with GOWORK off and CGO disabled; Linux amd64 and arm64 package builds pass. Capslock a2957859 with default rules on Go 1.27.1 reports the same 45 unsafe-pointer entries and example call paths before and after, all terminating in internal/strconv float bit conversions. This source cleanup does not remove those standard-library capabilities or change immutable v0.2.0 analysis. See issue #107 (2026-10-07).
-
CLOUDWATCH-EXAMPLE: Run a disposable Logger/Metrics example in ap-east-1 on provided.al2023 with Linux amd64 and arm64 binaries built with CGO disabled. All six real calls pass: two successes and one deliberate handler error per architecture, unique shared log/metric request IDs, cold/warm flags and metrics flushed on errors. CloudWatch receives all six structured request logs and extracts Requests Sum=6 plus ColdStart Sum=2 across three custom metric series. Delete both functions, log groups, the inline policy and execution role after verification; metric history follows AWS retention. Keep source, runner and raw evidence in ignored local dist/cloudwatch-example. No issue, PR, tracing, other service tests, stress tests or billing acceptance are included (2026-10-07).
-
DDB-CLOUD-EXAMPLE: Temporarily adapt the three established DynamoDB Local suites to real AWS DynamoDB in ap-east-1 using the Go SDK directly with CGO disabled and explicit profile/account verification. All three suites and six subcases pass with no skips: one winner among 16 conditional claims with prior-item conflicts, durable completion/large-integer precision/fresh-manager replay/payload validation, logical expiry and lease boundaries, completed-record protection, deletion and composite-key tenant isolation, plus Parameters JSON/cache/force-refresh/clear/native-binary/missing policies and real Limit=1 Query pagination/automatic transforms. Use five disposable Standard provisioned tables at 5 RCU/5 WCU each, with at most two simultaneously; all are deleted and deletion confirmed. Retain adapted source, runner and evidence only in ignored local dist/ddb-example. Library implementations remain unchanged; Lambda execution, Streams, physical TTL removal, stress and billing are outside this run. Also confirm the preceding example's CloudWatch log groups remain deleted (2026-10-07).
-
FREE-SSM-SIGNER: Verify real Standard String parameters under confirmed standard throughput and regional STS signing in ap-east-1 with explicit profile/account guards and CGO disabled. All three suites and two signing subcases pass: JSON/cache/overwrite/versioning/force-refresh/clear/zero-age/missing/cancellation policies, nonrecursive/recursive path isolation and MaxResults=1 pagination, automatic transforms, 11-name batch chunking/cache/strict and graceful missing names, and standalone GET plus transport POST SigV4 authentication. Delete and confirm absence of all 13 temporary parameters. Default network connections returned EOF; the disposable client uses certificate-verified TLS 1.2 without changing library defaults. Keep source, initial failures and final evidence in ignored local dist/free-example. Free Tier usage offers were unavailable, so quota-dependent SQS/SNS/X-Ray calls and other potentially billed services are excluded; this does not certify account-wide billing (2026-10-07).
-
FREE-NATIVE-AUDIT: Run native workspace tests for all 27 public modules without a Linux-only requirement, using CGO disabled and AWS credentials removed. All 37 tested packages pass, with 35,478 passing test events including subtests. Preserve the initial 12,149 passing events and resume only seven unbuilt packages after the system disk filled, placing build cache and temporary files on the workspace drive. Docker was unresponsive, so Linux-only KMS and container/Lambda runtime acceptance remain excluded. This is workspace test coverage, not packaged-module/release or live managed-service acceptance; no library changes, issue or PR are included. Sanitized combined results and raw local evidence are retained under ignored dist/free-example (2026-10-07).
-
DOC-V1-POLICY: Define main-versus-published documentation/example policy and exact SHA/tag acceptance identity; publish sanitized historical Lambda/CloudWatch/DynamoDB/SSM/Signer outcomes without repeating cloud calls. Verify the complete README example in an isolated GOWORK-off consumer of publicly retrieved v0.2.0 Powertools modules with CGO disabled, including success and empty-name handler behavior. Reuse the pinned external SDK archive after its network download returned EOF. Inventory 35 public packages/823 declaration groups across 27 maintained modules as review input, without claiming an API freeze. Locked dependencies, navigation, eighteen guide checks and strict site build pass. Tracks #48, #49, #51, #112 and #114 (2026-10-07).
-
PERF-113-CORE: Add eleven bounded-state microbenchmarks across Logger, Metrics, Parser, compiled Validation, Idempotency and Parameters cache. On Go 1.27.1 Windows amd64 with CGO disabled and GOMAXPROCS=2, all benchmarks pass with one 200ms measurement per final scenario; resume only failed setup cases and remeasure Idempotency after disabling timed diagnostics. Verify six packaged modules with tests/vet/tidy and six independent consumers using GOWORK off; licenses for all 31 modules, navigation, eighteen guide checks and strict documentation build pass. This local baseline does not certify Linux/arm64, concurrency, cold starts, cloud latency or all-module resource budgets. Evidence: PERFORMANCE_BASELINE.json, MODULE_ACCEPTANCE_PERFORMANCE.json; issue #113 (2026-10-07).
-
RELEASE-115-AUDIT: Audit explicit unified candidate selection, exact PR/main Full regression requirements, dependency-order public proxy/checksum consumers and owner browser gates. Candidate preparation is supported by merged #126 with hosted pinned release-tooling acceptance; navigation and strict documentation build pass. Record a concrete v1.0.0-rc.1 proposal under #129 with automatic publication disabled. This milestone verifies procedures and supported scope, not candidate/final publication, browser presentation or new AWS-service acceptance (2026-10-07).
-
RELEASE-133-LOCAL: Verify explicit project publication mode: one consolidated Markdown file and root Release, dependency-order tags at one SHA, all consumers before finalization, consumer/finalization failure recovery, completed replay and one completion comment. Verify root-only published history for patches and successive candidates, published-cohort membership, stable/prerelease separation, conflicting/missing tags and preflight rejection of component Releases or incomplete publication. All 76 executable local release regressions, 27 contribution and 22 CI-routing tests, workflow lint, navigation, eighteen guide checks and strict site build pass with CGO disabled. Two real GoReleaser CLI tests require the pinned hosted tool and are locally skipped. Existing published objects are preserved; this milestone does not publish or accept a candidate. See issue #133 (2026-10-07).
-
RELEASE-129-RC1: Publish v1.0.0-rc.1 from exact merged commit 7eefb62fbde9 after candidate and main Full regression pass. Verify one prerelease project Release, consolidated notes and 27 same-version module tags; all 27 fresh public proxy/checksum consumers build with GOWORK off and CGO disabled, without local replacements. Record public acceptance, including publication run 37630203444, identities and checksums. The frozen X-Ray adapter is excluded and historical publications are preserved. Browser/pkg.go.dev review and stable v1.0.0 approval remain separate gates; no new cloud tests are included. See issue #129 (2026-10-07).
-
RELEASE-137-V1: Publish stable v1.0.0 from exact merged commit 7be51eb55236 after preparation and main Full regression pass (31 packaged modules, 28 independent consumers, both Lambda architecture artifacts, runtime simulation, DynamoDB Local, documentation and pinned release tooling). Verify one stable project Release and consolidated notes, 27 same-version module tags and all 27 fresh public proxy/checksum consumers with CGO disabled, GOWORK off and no local replacements. Record stable acceptance, publication run 37637432902 and the reviewed maintained v1 compatibility commitment. Preserve historical stable/candidate records and exclude the frozen X-Ray adapter. Browser/pkg.go.dev checks remain separate owner checks; no new AWS cloud testing is included. See issue #137 (2026-10-07).
-
LABEL-146-LOCAL: Define four maintained P0-P3 issue priority labels and manual triage guidance. Verify synchronization creates all four labels, module reclassification preserves assigned priorities, and new issues receive no inferred priority. All 28 contribution regressions, 22 CI-routing tests, actionlint, locked documentation dependencies, navigation, eighteen guide checks and strict site build pass with CGO disabled. Live GitHub label synchronization is the post-merge acceptance gate in issue #146 (2026-10-08).
-
DOC-DISCOVERY-LOCAL: Add an all-crawler robots policy, generated canonical llms.txt index, individual user-guide descriptions, social metadata and WebSite/TechArticle JSON-LD with homepage source-repository identity. Keep static article content, canonical sitemap coverage, independent community attribution and OpenTelemetry/X-Ray migration boundaries. Verify all 87 guides and 18 crawler policies, six discovery regression guards, locked dependencies, navigation, eighteen utility-guide checks, strict site build and documentation-workflow actionlint with CGO disabled. Read-only Cloudflare inspection finds AI blocking, Bot Fight Mode and robots preference synchronization disabled with no custom firewall ruleset; no security configuration mutation is needed. Publication, live browser acceptance, search-console ownership/submission and actual search/AI indexing remain separate owner checks. See discovery maintenance (2026-10-10).
-
RELEASE-229-V120: Publish stable v1.2.0 from exact merged commit 6d0ee9e0e454 after preparation PR #230 and main Full regression pass. Verify all 27 maintained module tags at that commit, one stable Latest project Release and all 27 fresh public proxy/checksum consumers with CGO disabled, GOWORK off and no replacements. Resume the same reviewed plan after a GitHub HTTP 502 without changing existing tags. Record publication acceptance, update stable installation and compiler availability, and build the exact README application against public Logger v1.2.0 for Linux arm64. Locked dependencies, navigation, eighteen utility guides, strict site build and discovery checks passed. Preserve historical records and the frozen X-Ray exclusion. Browser/pkg.go.dev presentation and live AWS testing remain separate checks. See issues #229 and #231 (2026-10-13).
-
RELEASE-153-V110: Publish stable v1.1.0 from exact merged commit caac78d27493 after preparation PR #154 and main Full regression pass. Verify all 27 maintained module tags at the same commit, one stable Latest project Release and all 27 fresh public proxy/checksum consumers with CGO disabled, GOWORK off and no replacements. Record publication acceptance, update stable installation pins and build the exact README application against public Logger v1.1.0 for Linux arm64. Preserve historical acceptance and the frozen X-Ray exclusion. Browser/pkg.go.dev presentation and live AWS testing remain separate checks. See issues #153 and #155 (2026-10-10).
-
DOC-HOME-HTTP-161: Add a documentation homepage with quickstart actions and utility cards, and a maintained GET/POST Lambda example using existing HTTP verb methods. Verify eight native Lambda-adapter cases covering decoded parameters, JSON creation, invalid/duplicate-key JSON, missing/blank fields and unknown routes. Packaged examples pass tests, vet and tidy with GOWORK off and CGO disabled; both Linux amd64 and arm64 builds are static ELF binaries. Navigation, eighteen utility guides, strict site build and all 87 discovery pages pass. Stable routing signatures and dependencies are unchanged. Live browser presentation and AWS integration are outside this local acceptance; see issue #161 (2026-10-10).
-
DOC-SIMPLE-GUIDES-163: Review seventeen other main utility guides against the TypeScript documentation's first-use progression; add module installation, focused examples and common tasks, and move lifecycle/reference mappings behind ordinary usage with expandable comparisons. Start the quickstart with the existing README Logger-only program; simplify HTTP middleware, observability and streaming introductions. Verify seven changed programs across eleven result/error scenarios with CGO disabled and GOWORK off, using the existing packaged dependency cache, native Lambda adapters and a local SSM SDK fixture. Original Tracer and Batch programs also build as static Linux amd64 and arm64 ELF binaries. Navigation, eighteen guide contracts, strict site build, README snippet inclusion, rendered comparisons and all 87 discovery pages pass. Record the confirmed unsupported KMS data-key cache in open feature issue #164, following closed design issue #116; no Go API/dependency change or live AWS acceptance is included. Browser presentation remains an owner check (2026-10-10).
Phased remaining work¶
-
PERF-JSON-V2-250-252: Reuse bounded private JSON-shaped snapshots for Logger correlation and JMESPath, retaining JSON v2 fallback for custom/raw/invalid/deep inputs and float64 conversion, full-input errors and ownership. Reduce Logger root/slice normalization allocations without changing callback keys, cycles, omission or atomic output; decode existing Validation snapshots directly with exact numbers and diagnostic order. Differential, ownership, concurrent-copy and existing module regressions pass. Four packaged modules and four independent consumers pass tests, vet, tidy and isolation with CGO disabled; licenses, scoped JSON API policy and composed static Linux amd64/arm64 Lambda builds pass. Record identical-source local before/after benchmarks in performance evidence. This is scoped local acceptance, not all-module resource budgets or AWS acceptance; no public API, external dependency or release-version change. Internal root requirements pin the snapshot implementation for independent branch consumers. See issues #250, #251 and #252 (2026-10-16).
-
AUDIT-VALIDATION-189-LOCAL: Complete the finite default factory matrix with 43 actual public TypeScript/AJV default observations, twelve preserved strictTypes warnings and two original external registration failures. Reuse existing strict/setup/reference/graph/conditional/numeric/regex corpora; verify referenced enum snapshots, private nested diagnostics, channel-fenced once-only format cancellation and strict native JSON operational errors. No production defect was reproduced; typed registration errors and the absence of AJV logger side effects remain deliberate Go contracts. Packaged tests/vet/tidy/isolation and one independent consumer, scoped JSON v2 and documentation/discovery checks pass with CGO disabled. Exhaustive V-05/V-06/V-07, resources and deferred Draft 4/6 work remain separate (2026-10-13).
-
AUDIT-JMESPATH-187-LOCAL: Complete the finite grammar/number/serialization matrix with 73 actual TypeScript observations and strict native input/custom-error checks. Fix numeric string conversion through Commons and replace delegated legacy serialization with JSON v2, retaining deterministic Go key order and typed errors. Also reproduce and fix #225 null multi-select evaluation using existing syntax nodes, preserving non-null false/zero/empty values and skipping null child callbacks. Packaged tests/vet/tidy/isolation and one independent consumer, scoped JSON policy and documentation/discovery checks pass with CGO disabled. Exhaustive J-08 and resource #200 gates remain open (2026-10-13).
-
AUDIT-PARSER-188-LOCAL: Complete the finite Parser boundary matrix, reusing 3,493 actual TypeScript/Zod cases and adding 84 invalid-input observations across fourteen envelopes. Verify typed optional/nullable/array/numeric mappings, Unicode and strict JSON, once-only operational failures/cancellation and thirty-two concurrent recursive error copies. Preserve the portable Issue metadata and documented native differences; no production defect was reproduced. Packaged tests/vet/tidy/isolation and one independent consumer, scoped JSON policy and documentation/discovery checks pass with CGO disabled. Broad PR-06/PR-08/PR-10 and resource gates remain open (2026-10-13).
-
AUDIT-IDEMPOTENCY-186-LOCAL: Complete the finite persistence boundary matrix against TypeScript v2.35.0: six canonical boundaries, sixteen records per backend, 32 actual Go-to-TypeScript reads, replay validation/errors with and without local cache, and existing guarded-recovery coverage. Reproduce and fix Redis lease takeover at equality; retain the upstream fixture and deliberate Go validation/strict-JSON differences. Both affected packaged modules pass tests/vet/tidy/isolation and two standalone consumers with CGO disabled; licenses, scoped JSON API policy, navigation, eighteen guide contracts and strict documentation build pass. This is local source acceptance; hosted Docker and merge checks remain independent. I-07/GAP-03, Redis topology #199, resource budgets #200 and service gates #201/#202 remain open (2026-10-13).
-
AUDIT-BATCH-185-LOCAL: Complete the finite Batch boundary audit with three actual TypeScript parallel cases, twelve warm calls, fifteen preserved malformed-record observations, three-source native Lambda envelope/identifier checks, original Parser failure identifiers and FIFO parser/group cases. Use bounded workers and channel fences to verify completion lists without scheduling sleeps; retain input result order and earlier report ownership. No production behavior change was required. The packaged Batch module passes tests/vet/tidy/isolation and one independent consumer with CGO disabled. B-08, actual service retry/checkpoint acceptance #201/#202 and resource budgets #200 remain open; this is local source acceptance, not cloud acceptance (2026-10-13).
-
AUDIT-HTTP-190-LOCAL: Complete the finite HTTP/Streaming matrix with 88 actual TypeScript v2.35.0 observations and native header/cookie, final middleware, retained-body, short-write, raw framing and sixteen concurrent-close/snapshot checks. Reproduce and fix ASCII header-name validation, typed/native/cookie and final-header bypasses, and once-only failed native-body cleanup. Preserve documented URL/error/cookie-view differences, JSON v2 and maintained OTel behavior. Three affected packaged modules pass tests/vet/tidy/isolation and three standalone consumers with CGO disabled; licenses, scoped JSON policy, navigation, eighteen guides, strict site build and discovery pass. Broad parity, resource #200 and AWS service gates #201/#202 remain open; local Docker was unavailable (2026-10-13).
-
DOC-QUERY-205: Strengthen the indexed site's Go Powertools project identity through a concise homepage title/H1, visible name variants and use cases, canonical README links, WebSite/software alternate names and article/software relationships, and generated llms.txt names. Verify 87 static guides, metadata/canonicals/sitemap and 18 crawler policies plus twelve discovery regressions, including generic titles, missing/explicitly hidden names and inconsistent structured identity. Navigation, eighteen utility-guide contracts and strict site build pass. Update and verify GitHub's canonical website URL, project description and ten relevant topics while preserving existing topics. This verifies implementation and repository metadata, not query rankings, Google recrawl, AI citations or browser presentation; owner reports the homepage is already indexed and uses Search Console query/page reports for subsequent measurement. See issue #205 (2026-10-11).
-
PLAN-BACKLOG-166: Inventory the recorded missing/optional capabilities, implemented-utility compatibility boundaries and runtime/service/resource gates against the pinned TypeScript baseline and current source. Create 37 independent work issues, reuse KMS #164, and verify all 38 open issues' labels, acceptance criteria and assignments across six GitHub milestones, with no due dates. Preserve closed design issues as planning evidence. Publish the linked roadmap. This is verified backlog preparation, not feature implementation, exhaustive parity, live AWS acceptance or browser review; see documentation tracking issue #166 (2026-10-10).
- PHASE-01: Complete reviewed schema/regex slices in milestone 01, starting with opt-in Draft 2020-12. Preserve default validation and require independent acceptance for each dialect, syntax or transformation.
- PHASE-02: Complete explicit Confluent raw frames, Glue framing/compression and GUID-header resolution in milestone 02, with producer evidence, bounded decoding and lazy resolver isolation.
- PHASE-03: Resolve reviewed bounded KMS materials caching in milestone 03 and #164, retaining uncached defaults, supported SDK interfaces, finite limits and authenticated interoperability.
- PHASE-04: Resolve the seventeen finite implemented-utility compatibility audits in milestone 04. Record reproduced fixes, verified cases and intentional differences; do not equate this with exhaustive cross-language equivalence.
- PHASE-05: Complete actual local native-SDK multi-worker acceptance and the isolated durable-integration evaluation in milestone 05. Keep the production/platform support decision separate from local evidence.
-
PHASE-06: Resolve local Redis topology, resource budgets, guarded service tooling, the remaining service matrix and owner browser acceptance in milestone 06. Actual AWS execution still requires a separately authorized task.
-
DOC-FAVICON-208: Publish dedicated transparent 96px PNG and 16/32/48/256px ICO assets with stable root filenames, preserving the ram/cloud/Gopher identity and attribution. Verify the strict build, all 87 guide declarations, nested-page and subpath-mirror URL resolution, committed/built asset equality, PNG dimensions, ICO frame headers and Googlebot-Image robots eligibility. All 18 discovery regressions, navigation and eighteen utility-guide checks pass. Production publication and browser/search display remain separate checks in issue #208; local acceptance does not establish a Google favicon update (2026-10-11).
-
DOC-CATEGORIES-210: Add five task-oriented category indexes and prominent homepage/release links, regroup navigation without changing existing guide URLs, and enable native visible breadcrumbs. Publish CollectionPage metadata for indexes and canonical BreadcrumbList paths through real section indexes for non-home pages. Verify 92 pages in navigation/sitemap/llms, category entrypoints, homepage links, canonical breadcrumbs and native category links; all 26 discovery regressions, eighteen utility-guide checks and strict builds pass. Final documentation wording and checklist are verified by required CI. Browser/Rich Results Test acceptance and actual Google sitelinks remain separate owner outcomes; see #210, #203 and #206 (2026-10-11).
-
JSON-V2-OPS-LOCAL-214: Audit every first-party Go source, including tests and the frozen X-Ray adapter, and replace all v1 JSON operations with v2/jsontext APIs. Verify the syntax-aware guard and its alias, shadowing, artifact-exclusion and invalid-source regressions; document the retained Number/RawMessage type interoperability. Preserve complete reference coverage with explicit fixture tags, numeric-byte conversion, domain-null handling, canonical call comparisons and reference-only replacement of clipped JavaScript UTF-16 diagnostics. Verify JSON v2 serialization of null oneOf branch indices and present empty property names. All 29 locally runnable packaged modules pass tests, vet, tidy/isolation and 27 independent consumers across three scoped batches, with CGO disabled; see local acceptance. Local Docker is unavailable, so KMS/Linux integration, Lambda architectures and complete merge readiness require hosted CI. This is source acceptance, not publication; see #214 (2026-10-12).
